The Men's Pairs 2025 title match took place on Saturday 22 November within a new formula - a larger game where a number of ladies pairs also played.  Congratulations to John Glynn and Delton Outerbridge who took the title.  The ladies pairs distinguished themselves by winning the overall match with two pairs tying for first place - no title for them! but Sharon Shanahan, Betsy Baillie, Margie Way and Elizabeth Mckee will be compensated with our normal championship event prize of restaurant vouchers!   

This event was created to allow competition for the men's pairs title after there had been insufficient support in recent years for a standalone match limited to just men.  Hopefully, with more men coming through the junior ranks, we will have enough players to be able to reinstate the men's pairs event - but the new formula allowed for a good game enjoyed by those able to play.  Thanks to all who took part and in particular to all the ladies who made the field both large enough and challenging to test the men!  

The morning game on Wednesday 5 Novermber saw a double birthday -  Sancia Garrison and Diana Diel sharing the day, with a cake from Jane Smith to mark the occasion.

Congratulations to the team of Charles Hall, Stephanie Kyme, Molly Taussig and John Burville, who took the Open Teams 2025 title with a comfortable margin over the second placed team of Margie Way, Misha Novakovic, Linda Pollet and Elizabeth Mckee.   Six teams competed in the two session event - thanks to all who took part.
