Many congratulations to Margie Way and Tony Saunders, the winners of the Mixed Pairs Championship 2026  - showing that age is no bar to continued success at bridge, with a total of some 183 years between them!  They were one place behind lunchtime leaders Molly Taussig and Steve Cosham, but in the afternoon session, on the very last board, they pulled ahead to win by just one matchpoint over Molly and Steve.  In third place were Tracy and Des Nash, who repeated their success of 2025 winning the Intermediate title for the event.  10 pairs competed including three of our more junior pairs - well done all for taking part in an enjoyable event.

Congratulations to the joint winners of the Novices Pairs Championship - Richard Bruton playing with Chris van Rooyen and Tim McKittrick with Richard Neame.  In third place were Colin James and Anna White.   Thanks to the five novice pairs who stepped out into our Club championship world!
