Congratulations to Margie Way and Misha Novakovic who ran out winners of the 2022 Open Pairs Championship.  15 pairs took part, with Ed Betteto and David Sykes having a good lead at lunchtime, but an excellent second session gave Margie and Misha the title by just one matchpoint.  In third place, by a whisker of 0.01 of a matchpoint, were Elizabeth Mckee and Linda Pollett.  Thanks to all who took part in making the event a success.

OPEN TEAMS CHAMPIONS 2022

Greta Marshall's 90th birthday

On 19th October 2022 we celebrated Greta's 90th birthday in the usual way with Prosecco and birthday cake.  36 people were playing, our post-Covid record, and everyone enjoyed the occasion.  Also playing were our three other nonagenarians, Tony Saunders, Dorry Lusher and Diana Diel - what a great quartet!

NON LIFE MASTERS 2022

IMG 3059
The first Club Championship after the long hiatus of Covid was held on Saturday 23 April when a small field contested the Non-Life Masters Championship.  After two hard-fought sessions, the championship was secured by Marion and Duncan Silver, pipping Rosie Smith and Nikki Boyce to the post by less than one board.

Congratulations to the champions, and thanks to all who came out to play in the event.
