Sapphire Life Master for Marge Way

2023 Open Pairs Champions

John Burville and David Cordon carried off the first Open title of the year, comfortably winning the Open Pairs championship held over two session on Saturday 11 March.  Coming second was the pair of Misha Novakovic and Margie Way, with Gertie Barker and Jane Smith in third place overall. 16 pairs competed - congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who took part.

Quiz night - 4th March 2023

A very sucessful quiz night took place on 4th March - many thanks to the Quiz Master Malcolm Moseley.

Congratulations to the winning team "Fore-Play" Des & Tracy Nash and Maria & Charlie Duffy.

13 teams of 4 people took part, (as Des said, just like a deck of cards - with 2 jokers for the 2 teams that had 5)!

NON LIFE MASTERS CHAMPIONS

Another tied championship!  Malcolm Moseley and Mark Stevens tied with Kathy Keane and Joyce Pearson as the Non Life Master champions of 2023 - with Betsy Baillie and Delton Outerbridge in third place by the smallest possible margin of just half a matchpoint!  Many congratulations to all three pairs for their strong performances (together with commiserations to Betsy and Delton) and thanks to the other pairs who took part in our first championship of the year.
