Congratulations to the team of Ross Cooper, Scott Gilbertson, Julia Tadman and Josh Hussey who won the Junior Teams Championship with 5 wins from their 5 matches on Tuesday evening.  A large field of 8 teams, including some of our newer players, made for a good event and an enjoyable competition.  In second place was the team of Sarah Bowers, Stuart Clare, Rob and James Mulderig and in third place Heidi Dyson, Amanda Ingham, Jaime Ferrari McComb and Ed Willis.  Every team managed to win at least one of their matches - so well done all!  

Many congratulations to Martha Ferguson and Judy King, who won the Ladies'  Pairs Championship for 2025.  They led by a narrow margin at lunchtime but a 73% second session secured their victory.   In second place Betsy Baillie and Sharon Shanahan tied with Gertie Barker and Sheena Rayner, just ahead of Sancia Garrison and Jane Smith in fourth.

Congratulations to Max Santiago and Gareth Cooper, winners of the 2025 Novice Pairs Championship.  They led the field with a 70% game, putting down a marker for future years!  In second place were Edward Willis and Jaime Ferrari-McComb.  Tied in third place were Julia Tadman and Joshimar Hussey along with Michael Frings and Sanja Thompson.  10 pairs competed - a good field with strong representation from the recently completed beginner's course.  Well done to all who took part in what is, for most, their very first club championship event.   

Many congratulations to Wendy and Richard Gray, who, after some 30 years of playing  as a partnership at the Club, have won their first championship together, taking the Mixed Pairs title in a close fought contest from Rachaei Gosling and John Glynn, who were fractionally ahead of Molly Taussig and John Burville.  In fourth place were Tim Mardon and Erika Jones, who were lunchtime leaders with an excellent first session but slipped a little after the sandwiches.  9 pairs took part - thank to all.
