Our first club championship for 2014 was contested on Wednesday 19 & Friday 21 February. The winners of the Ladies' pairs were Judy Bussell & Stephanie Kyme; they had a splendid 69% game to come from second place after the first session. In second place were Rachael Gosling & Elizabeth McKee, with Gertie Barker & Jane Smith finishing 3rd. 16 pairs competed in all.
In the Men's section, the winners were Alan Douglas & Eddie Kyme, who also came from second place after the first session to win. In second place were Charles Hall & Tony Saunders, followed by a fine performance by Charles Pearman & Andy Carne who finished 3rd. 10 pairs participated.
