The 2024 Open Pairs took place on Saturday 23rd March. 17 pairs took part, including six with less than 500 masterpoints - so for the first time we had intermediate and junior players competing within an open championship for their own prize.
Congratulations to Rachael Gosling and John Glynn for winning the Open Pairs title, overtaking the lunchtime leaders David Cordon and John Rayner who came second.
Lisa Ferrari and Betsy Baillie won the inaugural Intermediate prize - they were the leading intermediate players at lunch, and held on for their title, coming in just ahead of Richard Hall and Tim Mardon who had a very good second session but not quite enough to catch the leaders.
