Conditions of contest (amended w.e.f. 1 January 2012)

Excluding the Junior Player of the Year, there are four club championships that are limited by masterpoints. These are the Junior Pairs, the Junior Teams, NLM pairs and the Novice Pairs. The conditions of contest for these three events are set out below. There is a separate set conditions for the JPOY.

Junior Pairs

All players must be members of the Bermuda Bridge Club and the ACBL in order to compete in the event.

All players must have fewer than 100 masterpoints as at the date of the event. If there is any dispute, the Tournament Director’s decision will be final. The TD will have particular regard to the masterpoints shown on the club database immediately prior to the event.


Junior Teams

All players must be members of the Bermuda Bridge Club and the ACBL in order to compete in the event

All players must have fewer than 100 masterpoints as the date of the event. If there is any dispute, the Tournament Director’s decision will be final. The TD will have particular regard to the masterpoints shown on the club database immediately prior to the event.

Teams may comprise of four, five or six qualified players.

Non Life Master pairs

(Please note that this event is miss-named and should technically be called the 299 pairs).

All players must be members of the Bermuda Bridge Club and the ACBL in order to compete in the event

All players must have fewer than 300 masterpoints as the date of the event. If there is any dispute, the Tournament Director’s decision will be final. The TD will have particular regard to the masterpoints shown on the club database immediately prior to the event.

 

Novice Pairs

All players must be members of the Bermuda Bridge Club in order to compete in the event.

All players must have fewer than 20 masterpoints as at the date of the event.  If there is any dispute, the Tournament Director's decision will be final.  The TD will have particular regard to the masterpoints shown on the club database immediately prior to the event.
